Does it feel good in hand or vibrates when mishit?
The Meta FP is featured with the innovative gapped wall design and unlike other gapped wall bats cantilevered inner barrel is not connected at the end cap, allowing it to translate on impact.
Premium LS Pro comfort grip provides the batter hand required tack and cushion while swinging and hitting.
VTX connection system does a pretty good job to reduce the vibrations and enhance the feel of of the bat. Overall it feels great in hand while swinging and hitting.
How does it Perform?
The bat comes somewhat hot out of the wrapper but still needs to be broken in to unlock the real beast.
Mash barrel is performs great and sounds great as well, F2X End Cap enhances the barrel profile, bat control and swing speed of this fastpitch softball bat.
How good is its Construction?
The Slugger Meta Fastpitch bat is a two piece construction featured with VTX connection system that is meant to allow independent movement between barrel and the handle.
Barrel is made with new Mash composite along with the gapped wall design, this leaves space between the 2 interworking barrel walls.
New F2X end cap which is made with a clear injection molded material that looks nice and allows the bat to swing with lightweight swing.
Its barrel is 2 1/4 inches in diameter and has a end-loaded weight that is usually preferred by the power hitters but the light swing feel make it suitable for both the contact hitters and the power hitters as well.
Is it Durable Enough?
When it comes to durability, you barely get complaints about a louisville slugger bat to be compromised.
Yes, some people might report the cracking and breaking of every bat out there but in this bat, I would say it is the manufacturing defect of that specific piece.
You can get that covered under the 1 year warranty period. Overall it is durable so far and that's the reason it is still considered as The Ghost Killer.
Is this bat a Value for the money?
It is the time when a bat has Meta in its name, it is obviously expensive. But Value for the money does not really mean that it is expensive or cheap.

Since, this is the debut of the Slugger Meta Fastpitch bat we cannot compare it with the previous year model but we have a perfect comparable here. Let's see if we compare both of these, who wins?
Starting with the construction: Both Meta and Ghost fastpitch bats are double barrel construction but Meta has gapped barrel design which definitely improves performance, sound and durability.
When it comes to performance both of the bats performs similar but I noticed Meta to perform slightly better.
And when it comes to durability it, it does not need an expert opinion. Anyone who knows a little about fastpitch bats and its history know how bad is Ghost and it seems like Easton has not much improved in the durability.
